How did you and your husband meet?

Tom and I met in what will one day be the old fashioned way, on tinder. From the moment I saw his profile I had a sense of peace knowing I didn’t need to swipe anymore.

When did you know he was the one?

I didn’t want to get my hopes up, but I and a very good feeling after meeting him. I saved a note under his contact: “The love of my life?” The question mark was there just in case I was wrong but now I can safely say the question mark has been removed.

How did he ask you to marry him?

He woke up early (very out of character so I knew something was up) he gave me a kiss and a note that had times on it with how long I could lay in bed for and what outfit to wear, it said that my driver would be waiting downstairs. The driver was his sister Ella, who, with one cheeky smile from me and one sheepish one from her, I knew what was happening. We drove to an airfield in Picton, and I saw Tom, we hope into a float plane and flew to a secluded bay where we hopped out and walked along the beach, and all of a sudden, he was down on one knee saying the sweetest things I had ever heard followed by “will you marry me”

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?

Our biggest inspiration was how we wanted people to feel, which was relaxed, warm, welcomed while still feeling sophisticated and thoughtful. I would describe the aesthetic of the wedding as Nancy Meyers she is an American film maker who directed films like the holiday and farther of the bride.

She is known for creating spaces that are warm, inviting, sophisticated and timeless.

What was your most memorable moment from your day?

The ceremony was so beautiful with our friend Jessi taking the service. She did such an incredible job and made it so personal. The first dance was also very special at the beginning I was a bit nervous for the first time in the day and forgot how to turn. But by the end, it felt like it was just Tom and I and no one else was there.

Did you have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?

I let the venue inspire the dress, which was a garden vibe. I have been in love with a sheer lightweight silk pleat and knew I wanted to use it for my dress. The dress is a modern take on a Renaissance style.

What was your absolute biggest challenge prior to purchasing your wedding dress?

Honestly the first dress came to me very easily, it was the first dress I designed and I knew it was perfect for me. The second dress on the other hand was a challenge, I knew I wanted something a bit more slinky but I wanted to wait until my bloated tummy went away to start designing. Unfortunately, it didn’t but I’m really happy with what I created which meant I wasn’t worried about bloating.
