Clara made the process so seamless and stress-free. She gave me so many fabric options and even sourced some new ones for me to look at when I couldn’t decide! She truly listens to you and works with you to make your vision come to life even if you’re not sure exactly what you want!
Love Story
How did you and your husband meet?
We met in club Kong on my first night out in town on my 18th birthday!
When did you know he was the one?
We had spontaneously bought tickets to Flume the day before. We were in the mosh pit dancing with my maid of honour and her now husband having the best time. It was then that I realised I loved Sam and that he was the one! We were just having so much fun together and he got along so well with my best friend. I knew that we could have fun together for the rest of our lives.
How did he ask you to marry him?
We were in a 4WD drive camping road trip in the South Island. After a 3 hour drive up Macauley river in tekapo we arrived at Macauley hut. I went for a wonder and found a cute stream and spot to take some self timer pictures, when I turned around Sam was on one knee holding a family ring and asked me to marry him!
What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?
I found a lot of inspiration from happy, summery colours hence why I chose a sunshine yellow for my bridesmaids! We knew we wanted a relaxed vibe and weren’t bothered about things looking absolutely perfect.
What was your most memorable moment from your day?
This is going to sound cheesy but seeing Sam tearing up as I walked down the aisle is definitely a core memory for me!
Did you have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?
I knew I wanted a fitted/bodice style top and a flowy skirt that had beautiful movement and wasn’t too puffy. Clara definitely nailed the brief!
What was your absolute biggest challenge prior to purchasing your wedding dress?
Having expensive taste 😂 and not being able to commit to buying a dress that I wasn’t 100% on!
What would you say to somebody on the fence about purchasing?
I think it priceless having a dress custom made as you can really choose every detail and make it fit perfectly for you!
