How did you and your husband meet?

We knew of each other for a few years. Walked around the Hamilton Lake together, the rest is history.

When did you know he was the one?

I hoped / had a feeling after our first walk around the lake. Everything just got better and better from there.

How did he ask you to marry him?
On the waterfront in Taupo on the way to dinner. SO perfect!  

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?
We wanted it to be elegant and slightly formal, but ultimately a big party. The cocktail style really helped with this, and our guests definitely bought their dancing shoes!  

 What was your most memorable moment from your day?
Omg so many! Walking down the isle, as soon as I started walking and saw Max all my nerves went away and when our first dance finished, and everyone ran to the dance floor. Vibes!

Did you have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?
I knew exactly what I wanted! I never changed my mind on the style or fabric.  

What was your absolute biggest challenge prior to purchasing your wedding dress?
I am a little bit fussy with dress of styles on me. I also don’t like having the same stuff as everyone, so I always knew I wanted to get it made.

What would you say to somebody on the fence about purchasing?
Don’t purchase one – get one made, by Clara! It is the most amazing experience, and you get the perfect dress, tailored to you that is a complete original.
